Our teen volunteer program is a wonderful program that benefits the teens, the campers, and the staff. Teens have fun and get great job experience, the campers have the opportunity to hang out with cool teenagers, and the staff gets support!
Who is eligible?
We accept volunteers going in to 8th - 10th grade. This is a great opportunity for younger teens who need experience before they can apply for paying jobs in the future.
What are the qualifications?
Volunteers should like working with children.
Volunteers should be outgoing.
Volunteers should be responsible.
Volunteers will get some valuable work experience, they'll have lots of fun, and we'll buy them pizza or another snack once a week. Also, we will gladly be a reference for volunteers that perform well. Volunteers can also put this experience on job and college applications.
What do volunteers do?
Volunteers will play with children and help them with projects. Volunteers will help clean and set up, and they'll swim with the campers.
What is the commitment?
We would like volunteers to commit to one or two weeks. There will also be a mandatory volunteer orientation in June. We understand the teens have busy schedules, so if they have to leave early once to twice a week it’s not a problem, unless it’s a field trip day.
Is there a Fee?
No. It’s free.
What's the Approval Process?
The applicant should fill out the application below. Teens who volunteered last year will be given first priority. Second priority will go to teens who attended our camp in previous years. We will release schedules by the end of February.
